Welcome VBR
players, families, and coaches!!!
We are here to help make this transition as smooth as possible. We understand that this may be a confusing time and we would like to address any questions and concerns that you may have. Here are some answers to a few of the most frequently asked questions:
FAQ:
1. What does it mean that VIA will be "running" VBR? We are not attempting to turn VBR into VIA. It is our hope and plan that VBR will continue to keep its own identity and remain as Louisiana Volleyball Baton Rouge. We are here to provide you with our quality training program and we are confident that you will benefit greatly from it. The VIA staff hopes that you would allow us to give you an opportunity to prove the quality of our program to you. With over 25 years of volleyball experience, we hope to provide you with our quality training and expertise. We understand that as a volleyball athlete, you have many different options and we thank-you for giving us an opportunity to work with you.
2. Will VBR become VIA? VBR will stay it's own club. It will not be called VIA-Baton Rouge. It will be Louisiana Volleyball Baton Rouge.
3. Will VBR still have the same coaches? We are happy to announce that most all of the former VBR coaches have commited to continue coaching with us. We are please to announce Shannon Carlson as the LVBR Head Master.
4. Where will training take place? Training will continue to take place in your home town.
5. I've heard that we might "merge" National level VBR teams with VIA teams? If we do create a National level Team with players from both VBR and VIA, your training will still continue to take place in your home town. Every now and then, these teams will train on an extra day (most likely a Sunday) and this extra training day will take place in Hammond.
6. Is there still going to be Fall Training? YES, VBR will host the Fall Clinic this year with the transitional assistance of VIA coaches at the first session (September 23rd) and the last session (November 11th) which will also serve as the first official Louisiana Volleyball Baton Rouge tryout. VIA coaches, staff, and administration will assist Louisiana Volleyball Baton Rouge coaches and administrators at the tryouts. For information on the VBR Fall Clinic, please click here
